Letter / SVG / Image to CAD / 3D Model Export
Create a 2D DXF outline or an extruded OBJ model from text, SVG artwork, or an experimental raster image trace. For text, upload an open-source .ttf or .otf font file from your own computer.
FONT FILES.
The font Choose File button lets you choose a .ttf or .otf font from your own computer. Use open-source fonts only. Google Fonts and Fontsource are good places to find free fonts, but always confirm the license allows your intended use.

IMAGE IMPORT IS EXPERIMENTAL.
SVG import is strongly recommended for logos, icons, and artwork. Raster image import depends almost entirely on the fidelity, contrast, and cleanliness of the source image. Threshold only controls what becomes dark or light. It does not magically turn a low-resolution image into clean CAD curves. For best results, prep the image with AI, Illustrator, Inkscape, Photoshop, or another cleanup tool first. Use simple black-and-white artwork with strong contrast.

OBJ CAP EDGES NOTE.
OBJ faces are triangulated so letters and artwork with holes can import correctly. Some programs may show internal diagonal cap edges in wireframe, sketch, hidden-line, or technical display modes. Smooth shading data is included, but some CAD programs may still show mesh edges when they are intentionally displaying geometry edges.
